Dr. Michael Lebowitz, DC
Practicing Applied Kinesiology for 40+ years and teaching it to doctors worldwide — the doctor other doctors learn from.
Program Chair, ICAK-USA · Board member for 10+ years
A father-and-son chiropractic practice built on Applied Kinesiology — a system of muscle testing that helps us find what is stressing your body. We use it alongside your history, a hands-on exam, and lab work, so the plan you leave with is built around you.
Are you a physician?
Dr. Michael Lebowitz has practiced Applied Kinesiology for more than four decades — in practice since 1981 — and has taught it to physicians around the world since 1987. Dr. Noah Lebowitz trained under him and has practiced the same method for over a decade. In Fort Worth, they practice side by side.

Applied Kinesiology is not a guess, and it is not the whole picture. It is one careful way of asking your body where the stress is — used alongside a full history, a hands-on exam, and lab work when it will tell us something useful.
We start with your story — what changed, when, and what you have already tried. Then a hands-on structural and muscle exam, and lab work if it is warranted.
We evaluate for signs of food sensitivity, gut and microbial imbalance, nutrient shortfalls, chemical or metal exposures, and structural strain — and how they interact.
You leave with a specific plan: chiropractic care where it is indicated, plus targeted nutritional support and practical changes to food and daily habits.
At each follow-up we re-check what we found. If something is not moving, we change it. Nothing stays on your plan just because it was on it last time.
Applied Kinesiology is used here as an evaluation method to help identify stressors on the body and to guide chiropractic care and nutritional support. It is not used to diagnose, treat, or cure disease.
Most people who find us have been told nothing is wrong, or have a list of symptoms nobody has connected. These are the five areas we evaluate — and where the answer usually lives.
Foods that seem harmless but leave you bloated, foggy, congested, achy, or wiped out a few hours later. We work to identify which ones your body reacts to, and in what order to address them.
Bloating, irregularity, reflux, or discomfort that comes and goes. We evaluate the gut environment — including yeast and bacterial overgrowth patterns — using exam findings and appropriate lab testing.
Low energy, poor recovery, cramping, hair and nail changes, or a diet that looks fine on paper. We evaluate where your body may be short on the raw materials it needs, and support it specifically rather than broadly.
Mold in a home, an old workplace, a water source, dental history. We evaluate for signs that an environmental burden is part of the picture, and support your body's own pathways for handling it.
Neck and back pain, headaches, a shoulder or hip that will not stay put. We look at how the joints, muscles, and nervous system are working together — including why an adjustment may not be holding.
Both doctors hold current leadership roles in the International College of Applied Kinesiology. Dr. Noah Lebowitz is Chair of the ICAK. Dr. Michael Lebowitz is Program Chair of ICAK-USA and has served on its board for more than 10 years.

I had spent two years being told my labs were normal. Within a few visits I understood what my body was reacting to, and I had a plan I could actually follow. I feel like myself again.Patient of Dr. Noah Lebowitz · shared with permission
Individual results vary. This is one patient's experience and is not a promise of any particular outcome.
The Lebowitzes don't just practice these methods — they teach them. Together, Drs. Michael and Noah Lebowitz have lectured across three continents and trained thousands of physicians in five countries — the same approach they bring to every patient visit.
Dr. Michael has taught Applied Kinesiology and clinical nutrition protocols since 1987 — nearly four decades of teaching doctors — through seminars, a long-running practitioner newsletter, four books, and more than 60 published papers. He is Program Chair of ICAK-USA and has served on its board for more than 10 years; Dr. Noah is Chair of the ICAK.
If you are a clinician rather than a patient, this teaching work has its own home — written for practitioners, with no patient marketing in the way.
Live and recorded courses on Applied Kinesiology method and clinical nutrition protocols, taught to doctors in the U.S. and abroad since 1987.
A practitioner newsletter with a 25+ year archive, plus more than 60 published papers indexed by clinical topic.
Four books and the reference protocols that go with them — the working material behind the seminars.
Ongoing mentorship for doctors adopting these methods, and leadership within the International College of Applied Kinesiology.
Plan on about an hour. Bring any recent lab work, a list of what you take, and — if you can — a few days of what you normally eat.

Chair, International College of Applied Kinesiology (ICAK)
Dr. Noah grew up around this work. He learned Applied Kinesiology from the doctor who has taught it to thousands of others — his father — and has spent his own career using it to find the specific reasons a person does not feel well. He has taught Applied Kinesiology alongside his father since 2014, lectures internationally, and serves as Chair of the International College of Applied Kinesiology — the profession's international body for the method.
For more than a decade Dr. Noah has practiced the same method his father developed and taught: use Applied Kinesiology as one careful instrument, alongside a full history, a hands-on exam, and lab work — and keep going until the findings actually explain the symptoms.
He built his practice on Maui and is now relocating it to Fort Worth to work alongside his father. Patients tend to describe the experience the same way: it was the first appointment where someone connected a list of unrelated complaints into one picture.
He sees adults and children, and he is comfortable being the second, third, or fifth opinion. If something is outside what chiropractic care and nutrition can address, he will tell you and help you find the right person.
Alongside practice, Dr. Noah has taught Applied Kinesiology alongside his father since 2014 — over a decade of teaching doctors — lectures internationally, and serves as Chair of the International College of Applied Kinesiology — the body that sets standards and coordinates training for the method worldwide. With his father he has lectured across three continents and helped train physicians in five countries. For patients, the practical meaning is simple: the doctor examining you is one of the people responsible for how this work is taught and held to standard.
These are evaluations, not diagnoses. Findings guide chiropractic care and nutritional support; they are not claims to treat or cure any disease.
Your first visit starts sitting down: what changed, when, what has helped, what has not, and what you have already been told. Roughly the first third of the appointment is conversation.
A structural exam plus Applied Kinesiology muscle testing. He explains what he is checking and what a response means as he goes — nothing happens silently.
If a blood, stool, or urine panel would change the plan, he orders it and walks you through the results at the next visit. If it would not, he says so.
Two or three things to change — not twenty. Adjustments where indicated, targeted nutritional support, and clear guidance on food. In writing.
At follow-ups he re-tests what he found. Anything that is not helping comes off the plan.

Dr. Michael has practiced Applied Kinesiology for more than four decades, since 1981. He has written four books, published over 60 papers, and has taught this method to physicians around the world since 1987 — nearly four decades of teaching doctors. He is, plainly, the doctor other doctors learn from — and he still sees patients.
Four decades of practice means Dr. Michael has almost certainly seen a version of your case before. Teaching doctors since 1987 means he has had to explain his reasoning out loud to rooms full of skeptical physicians — so he can explain it to you, in plain language, without hand-waving.
His work has always centered on one question: what is actually stressing this person's body? Foods, the gut environment, nutrient shortfalls, chemical and metal burdens, structural strain — and, most importantly, which of them is driving the others. Much of what he now teaches other doctors came out of working that question through with patients, one at a time.
He has also helped steer the profession itself: he is Program Chair of ICAK-USA, the U.S. chapter of the International College of Applied Kinesiology, and has served on its board for more than 10 years — deciding what gets taught, and to what standard.
He practices in Fort Worth alongside his son, Dr. Noah, who trained under him and now serves as Chair of the ICAK. New patients are welcome, and patients of many years continue to travel to see him.
Applied Kinesiology findings are used to identify stressors and to guide chiropractic care and nutritional support. They are not used to diagnose, treat, or cure disease.
He wants the timeline — including the parts that seem unrelated. Bring old labs, past diagnoses, and the supplements you take, even the ones you have stopped.
A structural exam and muscle testing, used to narrow a long list of possibilities down to the few worth pursuing.
He will tell you what he found, what he thinks is driving it, and what he is not yet sure about. Uncertainty gets named rather than papered over.
First the thing most likely to move the needle — adjustments where indicated, specific nutritional support, food changes. Then re-test before adding anything else.
If you are a physician rather than a patient, this is your exit. Since 1987 Dr. Michael has taught Applied Kinesiology and clinical nutrition protocols through seminars, a long-running practitioner newsletter, four books, and more than 60 published papers. All of it lives on his own site, written for clinicians.
